I have tried OS (XP-64) installation on an older (ECS NFORCE6M-A2) Motherboard. What happens is after 2 days or so the computer crashes! I have tried replacing memory, PSU, CPU, tried install on one old & 2 new hdds. Same-o same-o. (also, no internet connection, cat-5 not even plugged in)
If the mobo is bad(?), why does it take 2 days to crash??

That’s an old board, could be bad capacitors. Inspect board?

What @shovenose stated as well as it could just be XP64 bit. That never was a solid and stable operation system.

Haven't had any issues with running XP64 bit in the past, used it almost solely for Solid Works back then though.

I tested it some years back and wasn't stable or any software compatibility mostly and just companies didn't bother to support 64BiT edition of Xp

Replacing capacitors on a motherboard is tough as the ground planes suck up heat.

I find the RadioShack desoldering iron is good for this as the tip has a hole and so one can hold this over the capacitor leg for better heating.

I bought XP 64-bit at the time and it was a pita. Support was a bit spotty and gaming performance actually lower than XP 32-bit.

Good novelty though and I still have the setup disc and box in mint condition.
