lol, I already took everything out and it's now without a case again.
. But, would bondo work for my case? If not, could someone please recommend me something that will work for my case? Thanks.
yes you could use bondo but for flat surfaces it would be better if you use automotive fiberglass kit.
bondo is soft like wood and can be sanded easy but in thin layers it can peel if flexed.
fiberglass is harder stiffer material and withstands flexing seperation more, but it takes more effort when sanding because of this. think about fiberglass as liquid sheetmetal and bondo as wood in a can.
a trick to make a finished surface with less sanding is to lay your material on smooth flat surface covered by wax paper that has been coated with car wax to prevent fiberglass from sticking to the paper.
"wet" the material then lay your case upside down on top of the wet fiberglass mat and gently press in center towards the edges to remove air pokets then rest a book of 1-2lbs on case for steady pressure to keep out air bubbles from forming. this lets you start with a smooth finish that needs a lot less sanding to finish and fiberglass makes a rock hard shell that wont peel off like bondo will if dented. after it is hard you go back over the whole surface and fill any tiny holes that remain with the body filler in that toothpaste looking tube that is premixed so you just squeeze it into top and spread accross the top to fill in any holes or low spots in the surface. use a straight edge to drag accross the top for even filling of the entire surface then sand, clean, and prime the surface.
a final finish sanding and painting leaves you a mirror finish paint job.
just remember to wear rubber gloves when using fiberglass.
