Will having a 64-bit interface width affect performance on GT 1030 ?

That generation of Optiplex only supports Sandy Bridge, sadly, so I'm stuck with it until I at some point mod it a bit further to fit a new ITX motherboard. Otherwise I'd need to get an Optiplex 9010 motherboard off Ebay, which would cost way more than it's worth for the minor uptick in CPU performance. Also, selling a used chip like that from Norway is more or less impossible (shipping costs would be very expensive to anywhere outside of the country, nearing the value of the chip itself). One of the downsides of living in a small country. If I was in the US that would be very sound advice, though :)
Well, Xeon 1230 (v1) would do it if you find one. That would get you the 8 threads. Probably not worth risk of unsupported, but the V1 is Sandy Bridge, its essentially a low wattage i7 2600 with 3.2GHz speed.

He is on LGA 775.

For some reason they got sidetracked into recommending upgrades for my Sandy Bridge rig, not the OP. Guess it's time to get back to the topic, especially as I've long since concluded that a CPU upgrade for that isn't worth the money.

Edit: wrote GPU instead of CPU. Derp.

Only a 280 or better would provide a significant gain

Guys I have a fair chance to buy the Afox gtx 750ti card (used) to work out with til I upgrade my PC , so here's the thing , all websites on the internet specially the reputation ones like techpowerup and tomshardware says the most recorded temperature in gigabytes and respected trade marks as almost max at 62c but some people here and there says the card reached 85c with 'em I know it can reach 95c and be on the safe side but I don't wanna take my chances with that considering my current case doesn't have a good wind ports I only have a side fan . so is it safe to buy ? I mean as I said before I'm not going to have a real gaming experience , just only few old titles like LeaugeOfLegends Paladins and maybe some PubgMobile , will be any problems and issues that I should be aware of ? also I usually run the PC for more than10 hours a day .

What website?

Beware people have received fake cards.

I'm gonna buy it from a local store , face to face , the only problem now is about temp. I read afox cooling sucks , so I'm thinking of buying it and change the fan and heat sink to a better one like the Gigabyte or something , but not sure if there's such thing .

if you have the money to replace the cooling, buy a better card in the first place

no, you cant assume different coolers will fit - they dont always do so

I want to , but I don't have this welfare , I still gonna buy an 300w at least PSU to use with , and some other few things so the budget won't allow a better version , but sure I will take a look if there's anything better available before digging in .

Aren't all 1030 64-bit only?

Just checked. The GT1030 only comes in two variants, DDR4 and GDDR5, both 64bit memory bus.

@SaberHosneyDev
Please don't settle for a 1030 of you're going to do any gaming.

I wouldnt bother with a 750ti, Id go for a hd7950 at the minimum.

the power and heat requirements vary a crazy amount, he may not have a high wattage PSU and a case with enough space/cooling for such a wattage difference

The recommended Nvidia cards (10x0, 750ti, etc) are all single 6 pin or no extra power at all, while some of these AMD cards recommended go well above that

Saw the 750ti and 1030gt, not much difference in performance, better off with what I said before.

1030-1050 ti are awful value, the 1030 is already a bad performer but with DDR4 it's even worse

It's garbage tier value with the 470-580 on the market, but they have the 1050 ti has it's place in SFF rigs, its still not great performance vs the 470 but atleast it runs with no case mods/shady SATA to PCIE adapters
