As the title says, will my computer have basic function i.e. turn on and show the desktop etc? I need to remove the RAM so that I can eliminate it as a suspect/blown part from my computer and I don't have access to any other DDR2 at the moment.

Here's a link to the main problem I'm having: CLICK HERE

If you remove all sticks of RAM you will get the "continuous beeping" post error... If your PC does not beep with no RAM, either your motherboard has gone faulty / died, or your PC speaker is not connected to the board :)
