Windows 10 Creators update Game Mode

No issue really yet, no. I just pointed it out for those who might care.

Also, attaining ltsb legally is... not really possible if you don't want to register a business.

LTSB sounds like the opposite of the insider program. Would probably be a better option for PC is used in P.O.S or in business applications

I was never able to turn it on in the first place. The overlay never showed up when I pressed Win+G during TF2

Open taskbar settings(right click taskbar), and in the "home" section of settings ,the bottom right I believe is "game options" go in there and you'll see an option to turn on or off game mode if it's set to off the panel won't show up
Unless tf isnt recognized for another reason

I have already turned that option on. It is just in game the overlay wont come up. I can hear the notification sound it makes but never shows anything. I think there are benchmarks out already proving this does next to nothing in helping gaming performance. It is more for struggling old system running Win10 than newer systems

Oh yeah, unless you have the world's slowest computer it does absolutely nothing( my guess is that in Microsoft's attempt to create a single operating system for all platforms this function seemed like an appropriate addition since it may be relevant on laptop). The way windows 10 GMode is meant to work is by apparently shutting down "expendable" processes ,in the event that your computer reaches a fully stressed point. Obviously that's not going to free up gpu capabilities ,but it will free up ram or possibly a small amount of CPU usage, but it only comes into Play when a system has insufficient quantities of ram or CPU horsepower to begin with, which is only going to occur (as you mentioned above) in older or inadequate PCs.

Yeah I tried it. It stabelizes your framerate, which means if you have mostly 60 and some drops to low 50's, you will end up with a stable 55 fps.
I believe it instantly that some games benefit from it, for other games it's just an fps limiter. So I switched it off. No real benefit, no real gains.

Helps a lot on low ends like my notebook (in War Thunder especially, usually 40fps drops with gamer mode off, now a constant 60), and the recording program does the job very well, It's an excellent hardware accelerated encoding free software for Intel GPUs.
