Feels like its a few pixels shorter. Just a hunch, idk why it feels smaller to me.
They made some changes. The pinned icons have more spacing to them. And now that you mention it, it does look shorter...

Hi,
Explorer patcher has an update posted

I haven't installed it yet seeing I'm not having any issues atm and won't install the newest malware "security update" for a couple months probably
I'll wait and see what Brink comes up with in regard to removing/ turning off the new bloatware I'm not interested in ever using ;)

I am frustrated with Windows 11. I have attempted to use that OS on four separate occasions and each time have the same problem. Whenever I would click on the file explorer icon in the taskbar the entire explorer app would reboot.

Until I can sort out what the problem is without me having to clear the cache to use it accurately...Ill stick with windows 10.

I've never seen that issue. Interesting.
What is nuts is it does it on my desktop as well as my laptop. There has to be something else running contributing to this problem, yet I cannot seem to find the issue at all. I have tried a clean install, I have tried an upgrade. There are some videos about fixes and how to stop it, however whenever the computer comes out of sleep or reboots for an update or whatever, it happens all over again.

I wish I knew what the problem was so I could fix it once and for all.

Can anyone measure the task bar on the older build? It's 47 pixels tall on 22621.1344

EDIT: 48 pixels tall on last version. Literally a single pixel smaller!

Just did a work around for win 11. My processer wasn't supported. Laptop Toshiba Intel i5, 5200u. has 16GB of DDR3 and a SSD 850 Pro.
Just now am finishing the downloading of 2023-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022913). So far it seems that MS is giving me the updates as they would normally to everyone.

Are you sure? No change here. 60px before 60px after, on 125% scale.

I'm pretty sure you will never see this message if you made your ISO with Rufus, as it's had the remove hardware requirements feature since forever.

As sure as I can be with an on-screen ruler, at least (the one on PowerToys). So not 100%.

The 11 taskbar has a 1px grey border that is difficult to see on a light coloured window/background, but is always there. In your screenshot the ruler does not cover the 1px border.

Still 48px on mine including the 1px border.

Ah, maybe because it's another UI element to the ruler. I wonder why it *feels* shorter, though.

I did have to take off my glasses and glue my face to the screen to tell though, I stretched a line not the UI tool

Rolled back the update to check, yep still 60px including the border.

Maybe its just the different font and search design making it feel a bit smaller. It is weird tho, I've talked to a few people and they all say it feels a little shorter.

Microsoft is brewing something because it's a good business for them, but we properly won't see anything that looks like a LTSC version until 2025 at latest.

My guess will be properly spring time there will be a food note from the ninja cat team about something that could be a code for LTSC.

Hmm if this is true than we might not see a LTSC version of Win11

Hi,
Not really ms does checks all the time for updates/ drivers/...
Rufus just does it's magic to get you installed after that, it starts all over again

Pretty much every large update will fail if checks are done again so you'd have to do more bypass magic one way or another.
I pretty much just mount the iso and yeah rufus is the easiest way to prepare the iso for that I've found
