Windows 7 Boot Logo issue

Hi guy's,

So for sometime I've been using this Boot Changer for W7 but I can only get it to work with W7Go Ult. Edition LINK. Why is that? When with a standard install it just crashes with&without Admin.

I mean I can create skins with the program but can't install any but only with the Go Edition of W7 :kookoo:

Are the BS7 files the right version for the updater and your version of Win7?
 
That's the one I have and still but the Go Edition works like a charm. Why is that?

Windows 7 "Go Edition". Is that a customized version of Windows 7? For a moment I thought you were talking about the "Starter" version.

I think he is referring to W2G (Windows to go). He (I think) has used it in several previous posts, however W2G is the proper industry term for it.

As far as i remember you have to replace some dll file of windows with that of a modified one.

Not officially, but the third party knock offs use W2Gs method of writing a system .wim to disk.

The OP is talking about the Boot Screens. You're talking about desktop themes. Easy mistake to make, and you would be correct of course.

In his last line he mentioned he can create themes but not install theme. That reminded me of these modified dll and patchers. They might seem to work with logo changing if im not wrong.

Most of these modified windows are with modified dlls so that ever 3rd party goodie can work properly.
 
I know how to uee themes all day. It's that boot screen I want working... But if I can't o well. Just I'll continue to research

Ah your meaning this ThemeUpatch thing. I simply don't use those. Now I just use a program called Classic Shell to modd the start button and start menu
