Hi, ive recently upgraded to Windows 7 RTM 64bit, everything went smooth (installation) until i installed my first game PES 2010, installation went fine but the gameplay is just crap, i mean lots of lagging and slowness, didnt have none of these on my previous XP/Vista 64bit setup, i know windows 7 is only like 3 weeks old (Final release) but from what i have read it should be the best among XP & Vista in gaming performance, gonna try installing other games later hope they work, in case same issues arise iam thinking of going back to vista 64bit with the newly released SP2.

my question is that is there anyone with a windows 7 RTM, just wondering whats there gaming experience

appreciate your help

Thanx

It`s usually pretty good. Sounds like a different problem. Try a different game or 3dmark just to check.

Did you install your motherboard drivers?

Yes Win7 should do very well, didn't come across a game that didn't run good on it.
Did you do a clean install?

Personally, I'm still running a beta 7100 build of 64bit 7, everything runs sweet.

Running win 7 64-bit RTM without any issues here. It could be a driver issue, what graphics drivers are you using? And have you installed the latest drivers for your motherboard...etc?

PES2010 is a relative "new" game, probably the driver isn't optimized for it yet, I know the game requires very little GPU power, but I was in a very similar situation before my 4870x2 died, new games just won't run very well.
What version are you using? probably give the betas a try.
I really don't think it's the OS.

Installed the latest Asus rampage formula drivers form Asus, regarding My HD4870X2 installed the 9.10 drivers, all drivers are up to date, dont know whats the problem, one other thing is that the monitor refresh rate is bugging me, it's set to 59Hertz and every time i change it to 60Hertz or above it goes back to 59Hertz, im thinking there could be a problem with the 9.10 drivers i recently installed, if i should rollback which one do you recommend (stable/Win7 compatible)..

Installed The 9.8 Driver but still PES 2010 has alot of issues, whats strange is that i also installed Prototype and it ran fine (no problems at all) i dont understand??
