Ok, so at school, some of us can't use Internet Explorer when the window is maximized.
So we have to press the "restore down" when going anywhere and "restore up" when we want to see the entire page as it should be.

Does anyone know how to solve this issue? I can give more info on exactly what W7 we are running, I do know it's x64 (64 bit install of Windows7).

Thankful for any replies given.

Convince the IT ppl to put firefox on all school PC's. That should work. :)

Besides that, is it the 32 bit or 64 bit of IE?

Upgrade to IE9.

I use the 256 bit version of IE. ;)

NB: IE 32 bits is the most used IE both on 32 and 64 bit platforms...

press f11 while full screen, give it a shot

ie8 is unsteady, today is ie9's day so just pick it up or use chrome or opera

it should work....

Can't install things on it.. Only admin have permission.
It's so annoying, hate when it's not maximized...

install firefox/chrome to a flash drive. take it to school and try to run it from the flash drive?

and btw today's (bad) news

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2381881,00.asp

Internet Explorer Used to Exploit Windows MHTML Vulnerability. A recent update to the advisory by Microsoft—later verified by Google—indicates that the exploit is now being put to use.

Really bad and ALL the versions are affected

the attack only works against those running Internet Explorer—and Microsoft has verified that statement by noting that the attack actually works due to a specific Windows vulnerability, making one's version of Internet Explorer irrelevant as part of a fix. However, a quick fix beyond the downloadable "Fix It" pack is to switch over to an alternate browser for the time being—Chrome or Firefox to name a few.

Lol so MS asks to switch over to another browser for a while?!

"Firefox and Chrome are not affected in their default configuration, as they do not support MHTML without the installation of specific add-on modules," Kandek writes.

poor IE, it's a good target and always gets pwned.

yeah ie always be a moving target to get bombed. thank god i dont use it anymore

Don't have a flashdrive :slap:
However, I think there is something wrong with their install. A friend of mine has same W7 and can use IE maximized..

Ok, after reading that "bad news", i'm gonna go google chrome when I get home.. Ffs, M$ always must do something wrong, can't do it perfect, right?
