every time i use sympols like ^^ ¨¨ ´´ and so on my Windows 7 Ultimate x86 makes double all started like last weekend i didn't made any changes for my keyboard or anything :wtf:

i also used this Windows 7 on my old LGA775 i transfered it, to my LGA1156 setup by booting up in Safe Mode.

so how can i change back? do i really need to reinstall my Windows7?

Double check the language settings, maybe some strange option is enabled in there that is causing this.
  • Click Start > Run
  • Type intl.cpl, press Enter
  • Click on the Keyboards and Language tab

that is just wierd.

i have never come accross anthing like that..... a reinstall maybe nessesary.

i have tried removing danish language from the keyboard and added it again but it still does it :banghead:

Does it do this with the keyboard set to another language other than Danish?

i have a danish keyboard and if i change the language to english most of my bottoms are fucked bcs the danish layout got more keys than the english layout.

Well, is there something similar to Danish you could try? This is just to see if it still doubles the special characters when set to a different language.

You could also try another keyboard, maybe the one you have is on the fritz...

Well, you need to find the way to the "Ease of Access Center" or "accessibility." I don't know if those keywords would work on the Danish SKU. Once in there, click on "Make the keyboard easier to use" or Danish equivilent. Under "Make it easier to type," uncheck all the boxes. When those things are enabled, they are ultra annoying. Not sure if one of them does what you are describing but they do similar things (like always type in caps, even when caps lock disabled and it applies to symbolic keys too).

You specifically might want to take a close look at "Filter Keys." That sounds closest to your problem. Here's a picture of the default just in case something is messed up in there:

Have you tried a different keyboard?

And yes, it is always best to re-install when changing motherboards, even if they are both the same socket. It might work to re-use the install, but it isn't working as well as it should and you can have problems later, like this.

lol no matter if i turn the filter keys on or slow it down it keeps it up :banghead:

and i also closed all logitech appz but it keeps doing it on both my keyboards...

Just reinstall already :)

Just reinstall already :)

easier said than done, it take me more time now to install all my applications than install Windows 7 it self, when it was XP, it was like XP took more time for me to install than all my applications.

As newtekie said, even changing a motherboard to another motherboard of the exact same model, you are likely to encounter issues. You could try uninstalling the chipset driver and installing a fresh copy as well as the Human Interface Devices drivers (Device Manger -> Computer Name -> Human Interface Devices) but if that doesn't work, about the only solution is to erase and install Windows from scratch.

Try it with the on-screen keyboard and see if the double entry thing still happens.
