for some reason i think windows 7 is stuck in speaker mode when i want it in headphone mode.

when i installed it today i noticed it sounds diff even tho i changed all the settings. but when i go into control panel and then manage audio devices it says speakers and i cant change it to headphones, even though in the creative drivers i have it set to headphones.

then when i play counter strike it was at 2 speakers so i changed it to headphones but then every time i restart the game it goes back to 2 speakers.

so i think windows and the creative drivers are interfering with each other

can anyone help?

Ive noticed this issue too with my usb headset its something with the source engine not windows.

I would look around on the steam forums for a fix
