Step 1: You need to check the SATA ports, because any residue in the holes can cause problems with accessing the storage device.

Step 2: Also check the status of the SATA data and power cables, to see if you can certify that the device is properly connected. If possible, use another available port.

Step 3: If none of the steps above worked, maybe the binaries used by Windows to boot may be eventually corrupted. In that case, you will need the Windows installation disc, or some other tool (I suggest Hiren's BootCD).

Hope this helps.

Hugs.

first check your bios, try to reset it
then try only one storage on different sata port, if bios can read it right it should appear there
could be from the sata cable
and the last could be from storage
just check and recheck it

Thanks for all that info. :)How this all started as I have been trying to dual boot XP and Windows 7. I put them on separate drives, But it still came up with the same message.:( Not only that I got the blue screen message which closed it all together, I also have Vista on another drive which I get the same blue error message.:(No no problems with Windows 7 though. I have heard about the Hiren,s Boot CD can I make that myself or do I have to buy it?o_O Once again thanks for your help.:)

Looks like the boot loader can't find Windows, because it's pointing to the wrong drive or a bad drive.

This is why it is so important to have only the Master drive hooked up, and data cables disconnected from slave drive or slave drive removed from motherboard, for OS installs.

I have put win7 on one drive but it does not boot back in when restarting I have to manually do it.:( I have put XP on another drive same there, also it does a check disc every time it starts, and it mentions volume windows 7 is NTS what's that got to do with checking the XP disc ?.o_O

See post above yours.
If you're not putting both OS's on the same drive, you need to do your installs with only 1 drive installed. The one you intend to install to.

I have done that. :) Putting them on one drive would be a step to far for me:(

It's actually easier. Partition the drive, install XP in partition 1. From inside XP, install W7 in the other partition. The MBR will be retained and give you the option on boot to choose which OS.

No driver installed. Here.

I've seen this before

You've gone and installed multiple OS's, without removing any drives when installing the next OS.
The problem is that your bootloader was not on each OS's drive, but a shared one between them all - and you've removed or erased it.

You need to clean install the OS's with just one drive attached (that OS's future C: drive), changing drive for every OS.

Later on is simple things you may have forgotten, but the older OS's didn't do nearly as much automatically. You need to manually install the CORRECT driver for that OS, as well as manually install directX, and any other dependencies programs require. The latest versions of drivers and programs will simply not work on an older OS.

Thanks ,but it is sill saying downloading and instaling Net framework which is all ready in-staled.And the same message is coming up again *The target file exists and is newer than the source*o the newer overwrite the newer file?is it yes. no. or no to all?.I said no. and NET Framework failed. Geforce not installed.I did try an later vrtsion 368.81 which came up with the same thing.

Thanks for your info . :) I have got Windows 7 on a separate drive all is as it should be.Bur i have the instal disc that came with the PC.The other two XP and Vista are installed from disc s i burnt to disc.I use Snappy Drivers
to install the drivers i see they have the Nividia drivers on there ,i have not tried excluding them from being installed by S.D ,s.I don,t know weather that would make any difference.By just instaling them direst from Nividia
And what is all that Net framework which i manually installed , and yet Nividia say it has to be installed when i have already installed it?o_OProblem on Vista GPI-Z 2.44.0when trying to to do a RenderTest a message comes up saying *Could not find d3dx9-43.dill installed on your system .I click yes to download the file but it want open or run. o_O I see a lot of people have the same problem with the file.I looked it up to see the solution to the problem Direct X i try to install it a message comes up saying*A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted .Please verify the Cryptographic. services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid.*Considering it is from Microsoft site i don,t know how there can be a problem with it.o_OCan anyone give a link for a directx for Vista or a dil that will work for me.:)

I dont know or care what snappy drivers is, dont treat it as some magical fixer. You still need to manually install whatever the programs need

There is more than one dotnet. FAR more than one - you need the version Nvidia is asking for, not the latest.

Sounds like you have a corrupt OS - get a legit, clean ISO file and dont use programs like snappy drivers (or ANY driver or tweak programs)

DLLs must be placed in System or System 32

A lot of Tech people use Snappy Drivers including one of my favourite Tech uTubers and fellow Brit And my number one Tech guy Carey Holzman :) I know that the rest of those driver packs are snake oil like the guy on the first video says.Carey talks a lot of sence. :)
