Windows won't boot/re-install after mobo upgrade

Today I installed my new motherboard: Gigabyte Motherboard GA-990FXA-UD3

I loaded up my computer for the first time and a blue screen flashed for a second and the computer restarted, it just keeps cycling through this.

I then researched online for a solution and saw many people talking about a clean install so I put my windows CD in the disk drive and re-booted, once again the computer tried to load windows and it just restarted due to the blue screen, I've tried putting it on a USB and loading that from the BIOS but it just tries to load windows again the same way.

Any help would be fantastic, thanks.

Few Questions.

1. Are there any beeps?
2. Any LED's on the mobo red that should be green?
3. Is everything seeded properly?
4. Are all power inputs utilized?
5. Did you remember the mobo off-sets? (I'm sure you did as you are at least getting a BSOD)
6. Please list all your specs.

1. Don't have a speaker in my case/headphones werent plugged in (if that matters)
2. Didn't notice any, however i didnt look inside the case whilst it was on.
3. I'm pretty sure, this is my first time installing a new motherboard

RAM: 8gb Patriot

sounds like you arent booting from the windows CD/DVD/USB correctly. it should NOT be loading windows, but instead loading the windows installer.

Reset the BIOS. Try it with only one stick ram, cpu, video no hard drives or sound cards . See if you can get into the bios. Most likely you have a hardware conflict of somthing is not install correctly ie CPU Heatsink, ram, ect

I can get to the bios already, I have a picture of my options when I try and use the bootup from bios, not sure what they are, when I select Enter stetup the screen just goes black/blue and does nothing

that boot menu needs to show whatever you're booting the windows installer from. if its not working, then your boot media is screwed somehow.

It showed the USB i used when I tried to boot windows setup from it but it just started up windows :/

then the USB installer was not setup correctly. you didnt mention how you did that, but its not as simple as copy and pasting the files to the USB.

there are many guides out there, google will find them.

dont format the SSD just yet, because without a working boot media you wont have a working computer.

is that the REV 3.0 model? your screenshot seems to say it is. i have the 1.2 and it is abit weird when first starting and installing windows.

To fix your current windows boot problem. is the SATA ports set to ACHI? what were they previously on your old motherboard?

to reinstall, disconnect all drives before turning the PC on and booting from USB/DVD, then plug the drive back in before it gets to the custom installation section, and it should re-appear
