I put my PC through some pretty heavy debug with my install of a m.2 PCI card. I went through several BIOS reconfigures, and some RAID/ACHI swaps... I had to even do a bcdedit to get my PC to boot at all. I finally got everything working, and everything was looking pretty good. Now I have a strange problem. Other than the intense debug, this is a fresh install of a legit Win 10 Pro.
When I do a Start->Shutdown, the PC says "Restarting" with the spinny dots... then, it goes right back to the login screen. It does not even shut down completely. Its almost like it just logged me out... but... when I logged in, everything is still there. So, its almost like my shutdown request is simply a screen lock. The only way I can shutdown my computer is to do a cli command... "shutdown /s" will do it.
Reboot will reboot... I figure that something got out of sync when I was doing all of the bios and hard reboots during my debug. There was a thing out there about toggling some registry value from 1 to 0, or 0 to 1... I attempted that with no avail. Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Rod
