I tried to update my graphics card firmware on my Gigabyte 3060 Ti Gaming OC 8G (Rev 2), i.e. GV-N306TGAMING-OC-8GD-rev-20 card, but downloaded the firmware for GeForce RTX™ 3060 Ti GAMING OC PRO 8G, i.e. the "PRO" version. The incorrect "PRO" firmware installed successfully. But now, my card is not operating at 100%. The fans don't seem to be running and the Gigabyte logo is not lighting up. There is a single white LED light shining constantly by the power input.

I tried to follow up by installing the correct firmware version from https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N306TGAMING-OC-8GD-rev-20/support#support-dl-firmware. But, I got an error when running SwitchInstall.exe stating that the FW Version was incorrect (the error occurred while installing from path HT52352). It seems that the firmware that I incorrectly installed (v1.2) is a version greater than the correct version that I need to install (v1.1).

Does anyone know how to overcome or force the update? i.e. install correct firmware on my GeForce RTX™ 3060 Ti GAMING OC 8G (rev. 2.0) card?

Contact Gigabyte support and ask for a manual firmware flash. They have the tools to do that. Depending on the hardware on the card, it might just be NVflash with a direct ROM file supplied by them rather than a pre-packaged executable flasher.

Have you tried manually flashing your card with NVflash from the bios archive right here on TPU?

Stop doing bios flashing

There is nothing to gain on 3000 series

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated. I have asked Gigabyte but no helpful response as of yet. Are the TPU unverified versions of bios safe to use?

Generally, yes. The bios won't flash if it does not have a valid signature, so that limits most harm that can be done.

Once you get it back to stock though, I would indeed stop flashing.

Why was you flashing the incorrect bios?

I am about to have the same problem as the guy above. Just bought an 3060 LHR and it does not work on HIVE OS? Now Im lost. I hear do this and that , however, have no idea on how to start
troubleshooting this thing.
Should I Flash the BIOS first? or should I upgrade HIVE OS? Should I upgrade a Miner?

any ideas on how to start and fix this thing would be very welcomed and appreciated.

Salutes.

Just use Windows to mine, no and no to the rest of the questions. There's a chance of you bricking it.
