WTF cant play COD5 online

so I bought it on steam and it has been working fine. Today I try to play and now it wont let me join any server, it keeps saying server verification eroor, so I go to re-log onto my COD5 online account and it says cannot connect to online services. WTF?!?!? anyone else with this prob?? anyone know how to fix it????
 
sounds like they are having server problems to me.. give it a couple of hours... maybe check the site forums to see if they made a post about it
 
Yeah, it could be a Steam problem, because I have a retail version and I was able to log in and join a server.
