I just hit  10000  3DM05 with my X1800XL

I hooked up the ThermalTake TideWater cooling system. I was able to take out the copper HS from the videocard's HSF and keep the enclosure with the fan and even the cap to cool the RAM and mofsets and the waterblock fit nicely inside. I also upgraded to the 6.1 drivers :rockout:

I set the voltages to 1.375/2.2/2.0, the clock to 702/702, and 3DM05 just spit out 10K :D

The card idles around 50-55 Celsius and max load temps i saw was 70 Celsius ;)

I think i maxed out this succa' :toast:

hehe...sampsa at XS got ~13000 using a single XT...lol ***Edit: I meant Sampsa...not macci...though I'm sure he hit that too...lol***

10K!!!...I hate you!...j/k seeing that you jacked up the voltage to 1.375...it makes sense. interesting though is that ur temps sound like the power regulator temps. mine is 39 idle and 40ish load but won't do more than 1.175v...9256 in 3dmark05

You can't get it to reset ur voltage...there's no feature for that yet...you can however save the default voltages in a profile. What you want to do is load the default speed, then load another profile with the default speed with the default voltage. This is due to the fact that ATI Tool has a 0.250 second delay after changing voltage...which means you might get f00ked doing it in one step.

wizard23...what are you refering to...what's ur setup and original score...new driver refering to 6.1?

At stock 500/500 speed I get 7450 3DM05 ;) at 600/700 get 9250, this is how i get 10K @ 700/700 :D

I didn't try to reset the card to default speed/voltage. I have 3 OC settings low 575/600 @ 1.125/2.0/2.0, med 600/700 @ 1.15/2.2/2.0 and high 700/700 @ 1.375/2.2/2.0. For games i use high, otherwise i use low, but i can make a stock profile with default speed & volts and could load that too, when not playing games

Even at stock speeds with stock cooler i used to get 70 celsius load. Medium OC i used to get around 75 celsius, this is why i got the water for it, it was getting too hot, and felt that the GPU has more headroom with more volts. I think it's a safe speed, and far as i know the XT has 1.35 VGPU at default, and i think the XL/XT chips are identical, so there should be no problem running it 1.375 @ 700, just hope the power regulators will keep up with the load and not crap on me. I did see 50+ Ampers on load in ATITool  and the whole system's total power usage went up like 50W  I think the gpu block is making contact with the HS enclosure, so it could pick up some extra heat from that too :) The Voltage rgulators are pretty toasty and it's pretty hot in the card area

the only part i hate in that moment is that you paid 200$ lower for your card than me and you get a hier score than me..........but no waries for that ............. keep up the good work

It looks you have the 2D/3D switch problem with the XT, but B11 should fix it ;) maybe it's still running at 2D 600/700, this is why you get under 10K. I use B10, i don't need the 2D/3D switch, as i know the XL doesn't use the switch, and B10 works better than B11 for me

You can OC you card by upping the volts to 1.4 or 1.45 should get 750/800 out of it

I think that B11 would fix your problems, not 100% sure, cause i don't use XT and i just say it from what i read on the forums about people who have XTs.

Maybe you don't even need to use ATITool at all! You flashed your card, so it should switch to 3D 700/800 by itself, and maybe ATITool is messing up from switching correctly. Try not to run ATITool at all...just a tip ;)

The ampers i was reading whatever ATITool was telling me (if it's accurate). The system total power usage i was reading from the PSU's digital meter (if it's accurate too). Medium VGA OC system uses around 180W, max VGA OC around 240W

I just installed 6.1 drivers on top of the 5.13 with no problems. It shouldn't mess up the ATI Multimedia Center and AIW sofware, it should change only the driver and CCC. I had a hard time upgrading before from 5.11 to 5.12, because i tried to uninstall the 5.11 first and i got and error, and couldn't install the 5.12 for days. It was such a headache until i finally made it :banghead:

At least u get a splsah screen, I get nothing until windows boots. Which is a pain in the ass if I want to get into my bios...I have to switch my cable to vga-Dvi adapter cause "these cards dont support Dvi-I cables only Dvi-D" is what Ati told me. Cant believe such a "highend" card would have that problem.

Your card should only have 2 DVI  Should have came with a VGA(d-sub)-Dvi adapter. hook up a d-sub cable to your monitor and then use the included d-sub-dvi adapter try that.
