I've been trying to find some stuff about these two, I can find a review about the X38 one, and in forums, ppl say it is a great board, stable at high FSB, etc.

Now, the X48...I can't find anything?! The only difference I am able to find is the power saving feature that comes as standard and that is from the gigabyte web site... is there something more in favor of the X48? Like less heat or so? Anyone has experience with one of these/both?

Also, I'm most probably getting a E8400, some 4GB ram, a new PSU. I'll keep the GFX until Ati HD4XXX come out to see if they're any good/better than the current line up of Nvidia (8800GT/GTS/9800GTX).

Thanks.

Most people seem to think that you are better off with an X38 board simply because the X48 doesn't really bring anything new to the table and it's slightly more expensive.

The x48 is to x38 as 8800ULTRA is to 8800GTX :)
