X850's best drivers?

I've noticed that the last version of ATI driver 7.8 has problems with my X850PRO (AGP :cry:

)

When I went to play NFS Carbon the driving was uncontrollable. The graphics are really jerky. I uninstalled and went back to 7.6 without much trouble. Does someone know what version might have been the last for improvement for my old beast?

Omega drivers. I find them much better than the standard catalyst. Even the modded 7.4's outgun the latest Catalyst offering in my opinion.

for me and my two x800xt pe and my x850xt pe agp cards , the cats older than 6.2 are nice ..I run 5.8's.
