Mates,

What do yall think? I think it would be a fun project. i also have 2 NES controllers modded to USB that i could use to play NES!!! i love NES :D:D

I would also mod the xbox controller ports for the front USB for the controllers or anything USB.

Also taking the xbox logo off the top and replacing it with a see-through new logo maybe an NES controller or soemthing.

any thoughts?

If you do this I could possibly be interested in the internals. Interesting project might I add. Shouldn't be too difficult since the Xb1 mobo is a form of Mini ITX in its own rights.

a friend of mine put an xbox into a dvd player, the problem is with slim enclosures, the xbox's heatsink,, theres a replacement heatsink you can buy thats flat(and will run cooler and quieter) but you have to rip off the plastic molding on the motherboard which can be annoying, I wish I could do the same to my xbox 360 though and put linux on it, that would be awesome.

remember to post pics:)

I like the idea but wouldn't it just be easier to mod the xbox with a chip? There is plenty of emulators, etc for it.

my box is already soft modded and can run EMU's and play DVD's without the dongle.

Its more of a possible game/media center that i can put in my Den and do some drunk reminiscing with the guys on football Sundays :D

I just want to do another project really :P, i got my first little one coming in the 6 months so im trying to have as many things to do now and get my fun in before its no longer about me lol

you can play emulators just from a soft modded 360? i thought you had to use a solder mod chip like infectus...

yep. the evolution mod allows play back of DVDs and use of EMU's like PS 1 and NES.
