It still bugs me why dark theme is not present, as Xenoforo based mydigitallife.net has it.

Signature doesn't have the ability to add pictures. Only by link.

Joy! The 'ratings' are gone! (Though there are leftover ratings still around)

So far so good here otherwise.

Not a big deal... but it has my little 'e' icon over other users names, though their avatar is there. It doesnt have their letter.

Edit2: I see.... that looks to stand for threads ive replied in. I dont see it in threads I'm not subscribed/replied to. Cant say I like how that looks...

Yes, I still WTB a Dark Theme. Hell I'll even become a supporter if that's what needs to happen for it (hint hint).

As for the upgrade;
- Post ratings are unclear now. Or are they gone entirely? Are the -1's gone too? I believe I saw one still but how do they work then?
- I Like the new Like system. An expression of emotion is so much better than that stupid Facebook finger idea. Now it also does a better job than 'Thanks' did. You can express a response without having to actually post something. I'm confident that will reduce the amount of posts with no content as people can easily vent.
 
XenForo is very slick indeed and every time I use it, I'm tempted to convert my own forum over.
Plugin support is superb.

Like and the ratings are different. I dont see the ratings (the ability to rate). I see the leftover +1/-1 etc results, but no ability to rate (which is fine... I said that was doomed from the get go, lol). Like now has icons facebook style.

I noticed earlier that when you have the last post in a topic, the reply box is white and cannot be typed in.

Awesome way to avoid double posting, but it took me a while to connect those dots. I can imagine more people will be like 'wtf I can't post'? Especially newer members - although this can also be seen as positive and implicitly says 'read forum rules' really.

This feature could use a small popup to explain you need to edit the last post instead of using the usual reply box.

Probably Reddit style popups... I said NO (twice) and I still get the usual Alerts and stuff, perhaps not as pushy as the forum would like, but pushy as they used to be.

Call me a bit slow this morning, but what exactly are "push notifications"?

Got a bar on the bottom of my window asking to allow permissions for TPU to allow push notifications.

I don't use reddit - never liked it, but I understand what you mean by pop ups now. I'd "like" your post, but the new like with all the emojis scares me (actually, I hate using emojis - even if one of them is a Thumbs Up).

Anyway, thanks for the help in clarification.

Push notifications let you receive alerts from the forums without visiting TPU. These are enabled through the "Preferences" screen in your user account
 
So far so good. Only had one hiccup where Kaspersky's heuristics wanted to block the news page for some reason.
Other than that - looks good. Enabled push notifications.
 
Noticed the changes and it's good.
Even though the "Like" option is there you don't have the number of likes you received being shown anymore, I guess it's up to the user whether that even matters now - not important but just saying.
I do like the new emos for likes and looks great.

The deal with blocking a double post is a good idea too, I like that as well. :cool:
 
If I understand you bones, the number (green or red box in posts) wasn't likes... that was the rating. It shows likes/emotes the same as far as I can see. I'd imagine it will still list names and 'x others' but I cant tell from here. Again, what appears to be gone is the RATE button which gives that -1 to +3 rating.

Or am I mistaking?
 
Nothing to report, except for being awarded the trophy for System Specs filled out.
I thought I had done that a long time ago...

It's the likes within your avvy box showing how many you're received period. Not a huge deal but to me it's an indicator of whether you've been posting things of a good/useful nature as time passes. + or - Ratings are kinda similar and useful to that end too but mainly reflects to the topic it's in not in the overall.

It's like knowing what I've been posting up has been helpful or of use to members here and indicates how well I've been doing to that end.
 
Got another small issue, though I'm not sure if it's cache in chrome or something else...
Basically after replying in the thread, I can't click on anyone's specs until I refresh the page. But it's kinda sporadic.
