I just bought one of these new and yesterday I installed it using IC Diamond. I decided to remove the CPU to apply Grizzly Conductonaut 73/W mk. After removing the ICD; it was only on for about an hour, I now have scuff marks on the IHS. Not scratches but scuffs that will not come off. Well I won't see them after I apply the Conductonaut but will the scuffs affect performance?

Yeah, IC Diamond is known to cause damage to the heatsinks and CPUs it is used on. Their customer service is complete garbage too. Throw the crap out.

Though I don't know if it caused permanent performance harm, probably not, but it probably did void your warranty on the CPU.

A while back there was a while shitfest about it here. It performs well but ruining tha HSF isn't worth it. There are plenty of good compounds out there.
