Hello everyone,

I bought an XFX HD5770 1GB off of Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150462&cm_re=5770_xfx-_-14-150-462-_-Product) and of course it is a non-reference version with no voltage control out of the box.

The card's voltage controller is the APW7088, which the creator of RBE, BAGZZlash, said cannot be programmed as of now since he cannot find the datasheet with the programming info in it. There is a "public" datasheet out on the internet, but it does not contain the information needed to program the chip.

The things I have tried so far are:

1. MSI Afterburner enabling voltage control in settings and the .cfg tweak: The voltage slider is still greyed out.
2. ASUS SmartDoctor installs fine but when I run it, it says "cannot find video card information"
3. I flashed to the Asus unlocked BIOS, but the PC won't post. The card gets bricked.
4. I flashed to other XFX BIOSes with voltage capabilities, but the PC won't post. The card gets bricked.
5. Sent an email to the manufacturer of the APW7088 chips asking for programming info. I am still waiting for a reply.

My default voltage right now is 1.125V and I can achieve 970/1305 with max temps in furmark around 63C core and 70C mem ( 50% fan with other fans feeding the card fresh air). 2D clocks are modified to 275/1305 @0.95V (Dual monitor setup). The "GPU Registers" in RBE is greyed out.

I would like to know if anyone with this type of voltage controller (APW7088) had any luck unlocking/changing the voltage on the card and would like to know your opinions about this.

Thank you,
