Hello there,
I got me a XFX HD5870, no problems with the card except one thing which cant be as it should be..
No matter what, even if the temperature is about 40C degrees the fan speed is 55%, which is way too much and loud, that is if the fan adjustment is "automatic"???
What I want is it to be "quite", slow down the fan speed to about 20% or something when it is not used, under 55C degrees or something..
I have tried with overdrive to manual set it to 20%, which works fine, but why cant the automatic controller do that?
I then followed the guide RBE, but as I can tell it should automatic go down to 22% fan speed if the temperature is under 55, right? (this is a screenshot of the standard bios)..
I have tried to adjust the things a little, but I cannot get it under 55% fan speed, any idea?
Anybody got some suggestions? - Anything is welcome..
Best regards,
Jeppe R
