XPG, a fast-growing provider of systems, components, and peripherals for Gamers, Esports Pros, and Tech Enthusiasts, today announces the SPECTRIX D50 ROG-CERTIFIED DDR4 RGB memory module. The Republic of Gamers (ROG) -certified DDR4 RGB memory module is specifically tuned to work with ROG motherboards for uncompromised gaming performance. What's more, it also supports Intel XMP for easy overclocking and features RGB lighting for dazzling gaming flair.

The SPECTRIX D50 ROG-CERTIFIED DDR4 RGB has passed strict ROG overclocking and compatibility tests, ensuring optimal performance with ROG Intel DDR4 motherboards. This means ROG users can enjoy excellent performance of up to 3600 MHz and a 5% clock boost without fretting over compatibility. SPECTRIX D50 ROG-CERTIFIED DDR4 RGB is also compatible with motherboards that support Intel XMP 2.0 for straightforward overclocking without the need to go into BIOS.

Elegant Gaming Flair
For gaming flair, the SPECTRIX D50 ROG-CERTIFIED DDR4 RGB sports programmable RGB lighting that can be easily controlled via the ROG AURA SYNC app. The RGB lighting compliments the understated yet elegant design of the module, which is characterized by simple contours and sleek lines.

Lifetime Warranty
The SPECTRIX D50 ROG-CERTIFIED DDR4 RGB is made from high-quality chips for the utmost in quality and reliability. For added peace of mind, the module comes with a lifetime warranty. The SPECTRIX D50 ROG-CERTIFIED DDR4 memory will be available in a dual-channel kit (2x 8 GB).

Charge extra for the "ROG CERTIFIED" while any proper RGB sticks will work with aura. Except Corsair because they give somewhat open standards a finger. Atleast SignalRGB fixes that...

ROG-certified?
Have things in ARGBLED land really become so awful that you require a certification specific to one sub-brand of one vendor specific to one market? There's one born every minute, folks...
/facepalm.

I think RAM is my favourite example of ARGBLED making things objectively worse. The power for the LEDs comes directly from the CPU's memory controller, so ignoring the clearance issues (because ARGBLED RAM users probably have an ARGBLED AIO too) your ARGBLED RAM is adding extra, unnecessary power draw and strain on your CPU which will affect CPU clocks, performance, and how far you can push your FCLK/MCLK. I'm sure I read something about ARGBLED RAM frying a CPU or board before, too, but can't remember the specifics, just that it was the stupid RAM's fault.

Pretty lights to make your PC slower and hotter, at additional cost

Nice bait-and-switch reference. I'd forgotten they were guilty of that.

Here in New Zealand getting Good ram that isn't RGB is impossible without getting it from offshore retailers, then paying a fortune in shipping + possible border taxes.

I would much rather have had non rgb, lower profile, Black ram dimms, but to get the kinda kit I wanted, had to be GSkill Trident Z Neo.
