I have a bit of a weird issue here after i updated to bios 2006 is only when I watch youtube no matter the browser my computer locks up and I have to manually hold down the powerbutton to shut down.

I decided on the latest non-beta bios which includeds AGESA V2 1.2.0.1 Patch A and USB connectvity issue for my Asus ROG Strix B550-A Gaming
Change log:
OG STRIX B550-A GAMING BIOS 2006
"- Update AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.2.0.1 Patch A
- Fix USB connectivity issue

I have already tested CPU and RAM with D.O.C.P. and without plus did a clean of my graphics card driver with AMD Adrenalin 21.12.1 DCH (21.4.1).

CPU+RAM I tested for more then an hour with AiDA64
RAM I tested for an hour with TechPowerUP MemTest64: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-memtest64/

I know it's only Windows applications but it haven't been an issue in the past.

For browser I manually use Brave and I reinstalled it didn't work, I also have Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome same issue.

Windows 10 event viewer doesn't show anything and if I don't load youtube my PC idles just fine and I play games no issues at all so anyone got an idea of what's wrong if I cannot find a CPU, memory or gfx issue?

I am thinking about either flashing back to bios version 1805 which have worked flawlessly but I wanted to get the new AGESA approvements, USB 2.0 connectivity fixes, and what else Asus was bringing to the table.

But I noted that the day after the release of bios 2006 they released the beta bios 2201 with the same USB connectivity issue fix but the new AGESA 1.2.0.2.

I have a similar board (B550 F Gaming) with the same BIOS updates and I check the BIOS updates regularly. Previously, 2006 was listed as beta BIOS. Then a few days later, 2003 came up and the beta flag was removed from 2006 and another beta BIOS with 2201 came up. I had a gut feeling and updated to 2003 and have no issues so far. Try flashing back the 2003 BIOS through USB BIOS flashback. I think the 2006 is beta. Might be a glitch in the site or something.

I get this occasionally in Youtube, but it's not system-wide, just limited to Edge. Haven't been able to make it go away with Geforce drivers.

In any case, you have a 3900X. Updating past AGESA 1006 literally gains you nothing, except if you have the USB issues. Matisse boost performance was 99% sorted by 1004 (Q1 2020) and 100% sorted by 1006. The performance improvements aren't for you, updating without a good reason to do so is just asking for trouble when it was already flawless. I stopped at BIOS 1202 on my 3700X (only tried out 1804 for like a day with it, on the morning when I got my 5900X). I'd make an exception for Renoir because the AGESA 1200 BIOS actually provides DRAM improvements for my 4650G, but Matisse is not a memory speed demon and nothing past 1004B did anything for performance.

1201A already has the USB fixes backported from 1202. Maybe they made some last minute changes to those fixes in the new 1202 beta, no idea, but 2006 already has it.

I hope Asus hasn't blocked backporting, and you're able to go back to 1804.

And no, 2006 isn't beta. 2006 is the release BIOS for AGESA 1201A. 2003 is the release BIOS for 1201. Basically the same thing, just with the USB fix backported from 1202.

I noticed some improvement on my Ryzen 5 3600 going from 1805 to 2003 especially in specific scenarios (Watch Dogs Legion used to have micro stutters but no more after the 2003 BIOS update. Frame times are better as well). I am not saying 2006 is a beta BIOS. But it was listed as one when it was released and the beta flag was removed once 2201 was released.

Well it's just annoying when the only thing I changed was my bios. The restarts also took my AMD Graphics driver back to 21.12.1 and now I am back to 21.4.1.

I really hope this newest bios will fix my issue if not I am gonna write to Asus support even my experience with them is really slow, confusing answers and I need to get like the 3 or 5 person in to reply before anything makes any sense of what the issue is or that's at least my experience with Asus Nordic since I had some components that where from the nordic region of europe. (facepalm)

I'm not saying that I don't believe you, but the placebo effect is strong with Ryzen. Even on a static OC that rules out PB shenanigans, unless the difference is appreciable (more than margin of error) + quantifiable (clear frametime statistics) + consistent (repeatable every single run), it's hard to draw any sort of accurate conclusion from an observation like that.

I don't have that slow loading honestly.

Only way my loading is slow is usually online because I am on a shared 10-100TB connection which should be lowest 900-950Mbit but I don't bother to complain really.

So far I updated to the "beta" bios 2201 and it looks like I might be back on track here for like over 20mins now.

I really hope it's just a bad flash or a sh***beep bios from Asus.

@tabascosauz I tried Asus' Nordic support for my overpriced and expensive XG27UQ monitor and they couldn't have me a clear answer until I had the 3 or was it the fifth person to reply to me.

That the panel type they don't want to cover even no matter what happens to it and then the online shop have to cover it witten the 2 years warranty there is by default so it's kinda the last time I buy a Asus monitor even this was my dream ever since it was annoced but I feel like where prices have gone with HDR600 monitor and so on this dream is kinda fading away sadly even it's a gorgeous display if Asus could just cover pixel and other things correctly.

For years I also tried to avoid their Strix graphics because their fan profile was too loud for me personally but I fell in their trap again with first my monitor and then because Asus are the only one making a decent silver/white board and I don't want their Prime board not good experience in the past with them so I choose the B550-A Gaming for the colours, it's in a white Fractal Design Meshify 2 case.
