I have Gear Down Mode enabled which should show the tCL as 17. I'm confused.

You can, because I am right now, lol. In the bios it shows it but nowhere else. Strange...

Bollocks. That's annoying.

Gear Down forces even number tCL.

If you want to run odd, run either 2T with GDM disabled, or 1T with GDM disabled.

2T should be about the same as GDM. Pure 1T is harder and requires more work/luck.

FFS!!!! Me and my tiny.... brain. Right, I shall try that whilst holding a screwdriver ready... Thank you good sir!

EDIT- Very short sharp BSOD, nope.

You can definitely run odd timings with ryzen I'm doing it rn. I don't use gdm though.

Just noticed you are on a better board and 5600X. This is like a week's worth of overclocking and my timings are as tight as they can go nearly. I'm running 3800. What's your ram?

A very meh 32gb 4000mhz kit of hynix mjr/ajr, this is as fast as I can run them without errors, 1866 and 1900fclk (3733 and 3800mhz ram) both give errors in p95 blend test.

My kit is Corsair LPX, but they turned out to be micron b die, but the still won't quite do what I'd like them to do.
