Buffalo Japan Launches New 4 TB and 2 TB Four-Bay NAS

Buffalo Japan's newest storage solutions targeting the SMB market are the TeraStation WS-Q4.0TL/R5 (4 TB) and WS-Q2.0TL/R5 (2 TB). These four-bay NAS servers integrate with Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 for 4 TB of storage. With four drives in place, it supports VSS, and RAID modes 5, 1, and 0. The drive door opens to four hot-swappable 3.5" drive bays. The Buffalo WS-Q2.0TL/R5 (2TB) is available in Japan for 158,000 JPY (US $1,658), while the WS-Q4.0TL/R5 (4TB) is going to cost 198,000 JPY ($2,077).
