CoolIT Systems, leaders in advanced liquid cooling technology, announced today the full support of AMD’s new Phenom II X6 with the award-winning ECO ALC liquid cooling solution. Gamers and multimedia enthusiasts on a budget can now combine the raw power of the Phenom II X6 with cutting-edge liquid cooling technology from CoolIT.

“AMD has raised the bar for affordable performance in the new Phenom II X6 with advanced capabilities like its Turbo Core Technology” remarked Geoff Lyon, CEO of CoolIT Systems. “ECO ALC continues to hold the highest performance to price ratio of any liquid cooler currently on the market. When you combine these computing and cooling technologies, the performance results are tremendous.”

Newegg is currently offering ECO as an accessory for AMD’s Phenom II X6 processors for $74.99. For more information on the ECO and the rest of CoolIT’s lineup visit this page.

is it better than the H50?

a review would be cool... :)...it looks to be less cramped inside...Fan mounts outside...I like that.

Hmm... why didn't they get rid of that damn ugly tubing? =P That's the one thing that bothers me about H50.
by xaira (11:56 AM) - Reply
why do the tubes seem to be pushing against the ram, its a pass 4 me, they cudve put the tubes to the top or the other side or the bottom even

I think I have read somewhere on internet a review where it showed that H50 was a bit better and was quieter...

+1 Theres no apparent reason besides bad design that puts the outlets from the cpu to the inlets on the rad not run from the top... would be so much tidier!

Yeah, I suppose they thought that seeing the "ECO" logo was more important than convenience for the customer, lol.

here is another review (I was particularly interested in this one since I own IFX-14): cooling performance: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/display/corsair-h50_7.html#sect0 and noise: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/display/corsair-h50_8.html

Tell Tweak Town as i have to agree these numbers sound rather crappy

Very interesting good find this seems to be more accurate I would pick the H50

But, the recentely released revision of the Danamics LMX liquid metal tower cooler is extremely promising in terms of capabilities - outpacing all other cooling rigs short of a full water-cooling system (not these closed-system mini ones). Issue is that it DOES cost something like almost $200... Cooling for the X6 huh.. Mine only hits about 43C full load with my xiggy on it, thats at 3.8ghz, My i7 with the same cooler hits 62 in comparison.

From what I saw in reviews, I thought the new X6's run so cool you hardly need fancy cooling at all. :P

I feel these mini water systems are a waste. I'd actually rather go air. If you read the Xbit Labs review, the IFX-14 beats the H50, let alone this. I'd rather just buy a Noctua NH-D14. It would perform better for less noise than these mini h2o loops.

Sometimes you cannot use massive tower coolers. And that's where these mini water cooling systems fit it. They perform the same, yet they are like half or third the size on CPU itself.

you do realize Tweaktown tests all coolers in a 40 degree ambient temperature? IF I was into frustration I would buy an H50, ask Paulie, he will back that up!

I did not know they would do a crazy thing like that:wtf:, should do normal temp of like 25c or something
by sneekypeet (2:37 AM) - Reply
In the midst of summer when you are about to game in a non-climate controlled atmosphere, what would you gess you internal case temp is at? Form just throwing a thermometer in mine, with extreme OC's on air, my case gets near there all the time.
by Delta6326 (3:45 AM) - Reply
that is very true, my room is climate controlled but there are probable many people that don't use AC, as i have seen my system reach 37c

Well then, you suck, and need a better case. :D :p

I guess my use of smileys didn't make it obvious enough that it was a joke? Either way, use a small case and sacrifice cooling performance, or use a big case and sacrifice space. I'll sacrifice space every time, tyvm.
