Holy powerful 18.4" laptop. I see you BlackPanther! I know you're eyeballing it.

Edit: Just realized the dual GPU model is dubbed Panther 2.0. Talk about a perfect fit.

A core i7/Extreme with 24GB of RAM and 4 1TB harddrives and 2 GPUs in a laptop?

How the heck are they going to cool this thing.
The power adapter is 300W? Battery time measured in milliseconds?

Lol they called them Panther - I should call Eurocom to see whether I'd be eligible to get one for free

GTX480M SLI is certainly faster than 8800M GTX SLI - I'd get one if I won the lottery.

@ Kreij - normally the entire back of the laptop is one giant heatsink. Mine keeps quite cool even while gaming (it's got 8800M GTX SLI not 480M though!).

Unfortunately, these are 'desktop replacements' - it's not possible to game on battery, in my case at least, because the graphic cards downclock themselves on battery.
Mine's got a 200W adapter, lasts just 60 minutes on battery (obviously not gaming). Playing the Sims 3 is possible on battery because the game's not graphically intensive enough to cause lag even on low clocks, but maybe battery lasts like 15-20 minutes then!

The Alienware M17x after customization, you can get 1GB 5870s CFX, 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz with a 2.0Ghz Core i7 920XM (extreme cpu with 3.2ghz turbo mode and 8MB cache) for like $4000.
