Simply plug in the USB 3.0 DataGuardian and an application, stored in the drives firmware (on-chip), is launched automatically. Simply enter your password and you will have access to your data; unplug the drive and the drive is secure once again.

What's more, the DataGuardian also blocks 100% of auto-run based malware attacks. These types of a malware propagation techniques have become the #1 distribution method of USB based virus attacks. Now you can rest assured that these automated Malware attacks will be thwarted by the DataGuardian.

Put a freakin' physical write-protect switch on it! I'm trying to find a faster, USB 3.0-based thumbdrive with a write-protect switch on it for my system disinfection uses.

disable autorun, and exercise common sense would be all you ever need for that purpose.

P.S. clean record, 9 years and counting.

When cleaning customer machines, write-protect switch has saved my bacon countless times (from not having to clean/re-format the thumbdrive), autorun disabled or not. The issue is not with the thumbdrive infecting machines, it's the other way around.
