New Radeon Pictures Leaked: HD 7770
First pictures of AMD's mainstream card, HD 7770, have now been leaked online. This card is the first major upgrade to the HD 5770 in two years, since the HD 6770 was just a rebrand. It features the Cape Verde GPU, which replaces the Juniper GPU used in the HD 5770/HD 6770. The card looks somewhat different, with a large fan sitting on top of the GPU, blowing directly onto it and the card's length is the same as the HD 5770, at around 8.25 inches.SPECIFICATIONS

this is more of foreplay , bring on the big guns!
the 760 needs 180 watts and 2x 6 pin
the 770 needs 300 watts and 2x 8pin
the 780 needs 500 watts and 3x 8 + 2x6 pin
the 790 needs ∞ watts and 5x 8pin

It is the same thing card as the 5770. Its a rebrand just like the 6770 was. So where is the freaking upgrade at? Same damn specs.
Uhm, no.
The HD 5770 has:
SPECIFICATIONS
- Three display outputs, DVI, HDMI and miniDisplayPort (the HD 6770 added support for HDMI 1.4a)
- Dual Crossfire connector for 4 cards max
- The reference PCB has eight GDDR5 memory chips with a 128-bit memory interface
- Single 6-pin PCI-E power connector
- Around 130 Watts power consumption
Besides, the HD 5770 is a 40nm Juniper-XT core and the HD 7770 is a 28nm Cape Verde XT (Graphics Core Next Gen). Also, the HD 7770 is supposed be a PCI-e 3.0 card, while the HD 5770 was/is a PCI-e 2.1 card.I see a lot of differences. It's not a rebrand.
Might still be that they skip the 7750 (do we really need it?) and just release this 28Nm (cutback) as the 7670 maintaning the chip to 75W, for those that have and OEM box and quality 300-350W PSU.
The tahiti, the *confidental, ryhims with (damn! nothing... oh well) * and the Cape Verde are all based on CGN according to... rumors based on leaks from AMD :D
