....who gives a crap? It's 1600MHz at 9-9-9-24, that's the same (if not worse) than everything else you can buy. The only thing that's really different is that the heatsink is black; ooooh, fancy.

you can get 2 Gskill 2x4GB DDR 3 1600MHz Kits with 7 CAS Latency, nothing special about this set...

This is really odd to see a press release like this considering memory is already pretty cheap

Team's kits are great overclockers in general, they hand test their kits and hopefully kits like this are the same kind of home run the 2000 CL9 kits were.

tbh 2000 DDR3 CL9 is going to be faster than 1600 DDR3 with CL9 soley due to clock speed only, I only buy faster clock speed ram when ramping the FSB up.

Overlocking memory is for overclocking :slap: Just because my 2000 C7-7-7 kit is rated 2000 doesn't mean I haven't run it at 2133 7-7-7 easily ;) I brought up the Team 2000C9 kit because it does 2000 CL7 easily. :nutkick:

I really dont take risks with ram for overclocking due to the volatile state of RAM.

You know anything running out of JEDEC specs are the same chips used in 1066/1333 kits but screened and overclocked in the "factory" right?

I'm thinking DDR3 prices are going to be going up soon then this cheap single stick will be more appealing.

Sorry I know about that, been doin the PC repair for 12 years now, im just saying the Ram that is running at 1600, 2133, 2400 have been tested to that limit with the timings as advertised, not anything higher than that speed or tighter timing or less/more voltage
