COUGAR Announces the Volant Gaming Mid-Tower PC Case

COUGAR, leading German PC case and power supply brand, just introduced the latest addition to their line-up of high-end mid-tower PC cases. The COUGAR Volant with its optimized ventilation, by offering enough room for 8 installable fans, is particularly targeting demanding gamers and enthusiasts. To further improve ventilation and in-case airflow, the COUGAR Volant also sports an advanced cable-management keeping the inside clean and neat. Two holes in the backside of the chassis provide access for water cooling solutions.

The combination of rugged lines, metal mesh elements and glossy surface ornaments lend the all-black COUGAR Volant mid-tower its unique gaming personality. A total of 7 PCIe slots allow for multiple-graphics setups in SLI and CrossfireX modes with state-of-the-art graphics cards of up to 320 mm/12.5" length. Drive installation is child's play with the Volant due to COUGAR's screwless design technology. Easy and convenient on-the-fly data access of 3.5" and 2.5" HDDs/SSDs is provided for by an integrated docking-station on top of the case.

Optimized Ventilation and Airflow

The front panel allows for either 2 x 120 mm fans or one larger 140 mm fan for air intake in order to directly cool your installed drives. 1 x 120 mm installable fan at the bottom can directly cool down the bottom-placed PSU, while further 2 x 120 mm installable left side panel intake fans provide ideal airflow over graphics cards and other installed components. As the dissipating heat is going upwards in your case, the option of 2 x 120 mm exhaust fans right in the top of the case effectively blow out warm heat. This can even be further improved by the pre-installed 120 mm fan on the top rear end of the case.

For even more advanced high-end water cooling solutions, the COUGAR Volant provides two pre-drilled water whose holes at the back side just at the position where your CPU is placed.

Ready for state-of-the-art VGA cards and high-performance gaming

A total of 7 vented PCIe slots warrant for even more ventilation and offer enough room for multi-graphics system configurations being powerful enough to run all the latest and upcoming games on the market. The roomy interior of the COUGAR Volant leaves enough headway for modern graphics cards of up to 320 mm.

Connectivity and hot-swap docking station

Multimedia connectivity is provided for by 1 x HD audio and 1 x HD microphone connectors right on top in the middle of the front panel. Equally conveniently located are the USB connectors one to right and one to the left of these. Here COUGAR has chosen to provide one USB 2.0 as well as one USB 3.0 SuperSpeed connector.

On the top of the Volant mid-tower a convenient docking station with hot-swap capability (if the motherboard supports this function) for 3.5" or 2.5" HDDs/SSDs allows for data access on-the-fly and swift storage drive exchanges right from the outside of the case.
