Antec Nineteen Hundred Stands Tall...Really Tall

At Antec's Computex booth, one exhibit literally stuck its head out, the new Nineteen Hundred super-tower chassis. This two foot-long ATX full-tower features nine expansion slot bays, and supports HPTX, EATX, and conventional ATX motherboard form-factors. It features well-partitioned motherboard, drive, power, and peripheral areas, and is made of 0.8 mm-thick steel. The case offers a total of 17 drive bays, including three 5.25-inch, fourteen 2.5-inch or 12 3.5-inch (configurable). It features two PSU bays, letting you add redundant or supplementary PSUs. Its cooling system includes three 120 mm front intakes, two 120 mm top exhaust that can be used to latch a 240 x 120 radiator, two 120 mm fans that circulate the air within the case, and a rear 120 mm exhaust. The case below is pictured with lime green highlights, we suspect more highlight color options could be in the works.

Some professional overclockers use anywhere between four to six 1500W PSUs.

No, but it still answers your question. Overclockers do tend to use multiple PSUs to power rigs.

This thing is freaking awesome I hope they make a version without the green
also 1500w PSU preform worse than 2 PSU together. you could put 2 AX860i PSUs to get almost perfect regulation and a mawimum power pull of 1720 which a 3970x @ 5Ghz combined with 4 OCed HD 7970s will easily pull. OCed 7970 = 280w and a 3970x @ 5Ghz = 400w that gives you a 1520w maximum pull without counting drives fans and WC pumps

Where you get those numbers from? Each 7970 do not give 280w. only the first one takes the full load. The other 3 is about half or so. 3970x do not produce 400w?

....actually i sorta like it.... wonder if it has a windowed side.....strange how the pc world is going micro....and the case makers are going ULTRA....(says the guy with the cosmos 2 :laugh:)

And maybe a few others as with a little effort you could turn that in to a fan in\outtake for the v card too.

All I see here is that you'd need to cut an extreme lot of metal inside the case to get anywhere near as watercooling friendly as the 800 or 900D

A lot of rack servers will usually have a redundant power supply in case one fails as well. Considering how many drives you can put in this thing and the sheer size of it, I would consider using that for a pedestal server.

Heck, I like big cases, I would get something like that for myself if I had the money to spare. I wouldn't have gotten the 1200 if I didn't like big chassis. :p

I'm just not sure if I like the green or not though.

Yes, but what on Earth needs 9000W inside a PC build!? As I take it, extreme overclocking doesn't increase power usage all that much (exponentially at least).


Paint it something other than green and maybe I'm game.

I do think that 4-6 is exaggeration, but 2 is not unreasonable for LN2 considering as temperature drops so does circuit resistance/impedance. Also people seem to be missing two words in that statement.
btarunrIt features two PSU bays, letting you add redundant or supplementary PSUs.
2 PSUs doesn't mean they're being used for the same reasons.

This gives users the option of two of the newer fanless ~500w units to power a reasonably extreme system silently.

In my case my bench rig still needs two full size modern PSU's to run all of its fans/components. Take my 16 fans @52w and you have 832w in pure fans, add in the dual pumps and you are looking at sitting comfortably in 1200w land. That is just water cooling I haven't added my TEC's yet (block is a work in progress). Add in the normal system load for something like that (850-1200w) and you need two powersupplies.

Just because you don't need it doesn't mean others don't. Some people also like large cases. Are they the 1%? sure who cares, if you have the money may as well go big.

Plan is to cool quite a load of TEC's, but since I have not been able to build/buy a good block for it I have been reduced to just freezing the PC during the winter outside. Typically I can average -10C idle temps on a good day during the winter. I am hoping for similar with the TEC's when it's all said and done.

Heh. Time to just go water cooling if you're producing that much heat. It's going to be more efficient than Peltier cooling and a ton of high-watt fans. Unless this is some special build where some restriction would prevent water cooling, or you're just doing to do it, for fun. If that's the case, then more power to you! lol
