DeepCool Announces the DA700 and DA500-M Power Supplies

DeepCool announced a pair of mid-range PSUs for gaming PC builds, the 700W DA700, and the 500W DA500-M. The two boast of 80 Plus Bronze efficiency ratings, and partially modular flat ribbon cabling, in addition to double-layer EMI filters, modern PSU protections, and an energy efficient controller logic. Not just the detachable cables, but also the fixed ones - the 24-pin ATX, and 4+4 pin EPS connectors, feature flat cables. The two appear to be manufactured by CWT. The DA500-M features sufficient cabling for gaming PC builds with up to two mid-range graphics cards; while the DA700 has cabling for up to three. The company didn't reveal pricing.

CWT DSA II like the Smart serie from Thermaltake

and it retain the flat cable ... if they are priced like the Smart SE it will be interesting: no 80+ certif to up the price and not bad performing (according to the few review i saw ... but i guess techsite does not like cheap PSU :D "joke" )

oops i didn't see this one has a 80+ Bronze ... :D the Tt has a 87% guarantee (which is between a silver and a gold iirc but since it's not official it means nothing :D )

The DA PSUs are their cheaper ones, with 80PLUS Bronze, while the DQ is 80PLUS Gold. The DN are lower wattage and are not modular.

The smart money is on Seasonic PSUs which have all the right stuff as proven in countless PSU tests by reputable sources such as JonnyGuru and Hardware Secrets. It would be very rare to find as good a PSU as a Seasonic for the same or lower price. While some folks may be sucked in by colors or ad hype the bottom line is your PC cares only about quality electrical power and how it's delivered to the mobo. The cables and other silliness don't matter to your PC. Buy a quality PSU and you'll eliminate a lot of PC hassles.

i have a CWT DSA II based PSU and never had any problem (or with the previous one based on the same OEM) they aren't the best but they deliver what they promise.

Why seasonic? They are making good products but they are just strong and marketing. Delta and Super Flower makes better supplies.
