PowerColor Devil 13 Dual Core R9 290X Coming at Computex 2014

The 3rd generation, Devil 13 Dual Core R9 290X, is packed with dual Hawaii XT cores, designed to tackle the most demanding HD titles. It operates at 1000 MHz for core clock and 1350 MHz for memory, using 512-bit X2 memory interface with 8 GB of GDDR5 memory, breaking out the limitation of extremely gaming performance.
The Devil 13 Dual Core R9 290X is built with carefully-design Platinum Power Kit and ultra-efficient thermal design. It consists of massive 15-phase power delivery, PowerIRstage, Super Cap and Ferrite Core Choke, providing the stability and reliability for such high-end graphics solution. well, would like to see how an air cooler would cool this dual gpu hawaii. Everybody knows that hawaii chips are very hot.
But the name dual core? wow, maybe somebody will make quad core GPU :roll:
but the 295x2 chips work at a higher frequencies than a 290X so this one is on air dual slot can be OC even more and quad 8pin ... yet i fail to see its viability versus the 295x2 unless the price is around 2x a 290X

Its a neat card, but its going to come down to where the price is. I am kinda worried that its going to be around the same or more for it because of all the modifications and the mouse included.The irony is that this round it is completely reversed from the 7990 idea. Last round it was a 3 fan cooler reference with an AIO liquid cooler on the aftermarket version (Ares II), now its an AIO for the reference model and a 3 Fan cooler for the aftermarket!
also i am quite delighted i will get a reference R9 290 for cheap soon if the prolimatech MK-26 i have fits on it i might use a dual 140mm on it with some vrm/ram heatsink (the one bundled with the MK-26 are all unusable xD)
Yea, I kinda wish I had just waited it out and bought mine as cheap as they are now. I mean I payed 550 for each of my 290X with BF4 coupons before the price hike kicked in (PowerColor models were for some reason slow on newegg to jump up in price). I now though wish I had waited for this card because I could have bought 2 of these things and made a Micro-ATX machine. I actually may for fun sell off 2 of my 290X's and grab one of these to do a Tri-Fire system with it in a small package depending on the price.:D
