RIOTORO Releases the CR1080 Compact ATX PC Chassis

New kid on the PC hardware block, Californian company RIOTORO has today launched its latest PC enclosure, the CR1080. Seen below, this case has an inverted design and is said to be one of the smallest that can fit a full-size ATX motherboard, as well as 'full-length' (up to 300 mm long) graphics cards.

The CR1080 measures 245 (W) mm x 359 (H) mm x 394 (D) mm (9.625" x 14.125" x 15.5"), it has a steel and plastic construction, and features two compartments, one for the motherboard+memory+CPU+graphics card, and one for the power supply and storage drives. RIOTORO's case comes with one 5.25-inch bay, two 3.5-/2.5-inch drive slots, one 2.5-inch-only tray, dual top-placed USB 3.0 ports, one 120 mm front fan with blue LEDs, space for one 80 mm fan on the rear panel, and a side window.

The CR1080 comes with a two-year warranty and can be found selling for $79.99 on Amazon.

120MM CPU fan height limit. They need to increase the rear fan from 80MM to 92MM, which will give more room for a HSF and tall GPU's..
Also, drop the standard ATX PSU for a SFX PSU.
I laud them for the effort though.:toast:

So to fix the inverted design, I would lay the case on it's side and have the window on the top, at least the GPU wouldn't be upside down and unreadable.
I prefer the motherboards flat anyway, that's how they are designed to run on test benches.

this may solve the GPU heatpipes with best possible performance but it will all so help those motherboards with heat pipes too.

Let's be honest. It maybe cheap, it maybe plastic, but with name like this it's made for GTX1080. ;) Just in time.

Yes and No.

BTX boards died out in early 2000's, so its just a ATX Board, inverted in the case. Its more or less improper use to call it "BTX" even tho it does 'look' like it. I still refer to these case designs as BTX too.
