Creative releases final Windows Vista drivers
There has been a lot of turmoil around Creative and Vista support for the company's soundcards. There have been Beta drivers available for some time and the firm has released the final 32-bit and 64-bit Vista drivers yesterday. The drivers can be downloaded from the company website here.

Applications from the original Sound Blaster Audigy CD will not work with this download.
Users are advised to use Audio Console included in this download to change speaker configurations.
This driver does not support the following:
Decoding of Dolby® Digital and DTS™ signals
DVD-Audio
DirectSound®-based EAX games
Gameports
6.1 speaker mode.
SPDIF passthrough is supported on Vista 32-bit only.
-still no eax game support
-you have to use audio console to change speaker settings
-doesnt support dvd audio
-as well as other stuff
they cannot call a driver complete unless it allows the product to do as advertised. im not impressed.
on a different note. Someone made mention of the AU something sound card. Maximum PC gave it a 3 or 4 rating in this months head to head with the X FI and another card...just an FYI

thx
i didn't use the beta drivers before, the XP drivers worked better... though without media source, so have to settle still with the worthless audio console.
tried installing this "unbeta" driver, oh well, nothing impressive... better than the "beta" ones, but ain't really better than the XP's.
