Xbox Chief Peter Moore Leaves Microsoft

Microsoft's Xbox chief Peter Moore has abruptly resigned from Microsoft just a few hours after passing judgement to SONY about its failure with PS3 in the Japanese market. Moore will become president of EA's Sports division. Moore's replacement at Microsoft will be Don Mattrick, who was a former president of game development Electronic Arts. Mattrick will become senior vice president of Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business, which includes the Xbox and Games for Windows.
Microsoft stated that Moore was about to leave the company because of personal reasons although industry watchers speculate that Microsoft struggles in the gaming market and the incredible pressure facing Moore specifically were partly to blame for his departure.

"While Peter will certainly be missed, we are delighted to have one of the industry's most talented and passionate veterans on board to lead the business," remarked Robbie Bach, president of the Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft. "Don is well-known and respected throughout the industry for his deep knowledge, technical expertise and management savvy."

What?

But I just saw the video of him playing Rock Band at the MS event on E3 some days ago, and he looked so happy with his job!... :wtf:

Geez, I certainly hope everything goes well for Mr. Moore at EA :)

Man this kinda sucks....I always liked him over at Micosoft, and I thought he loved his work over at MS. Just because he even got some tattoos to support his company.

I hated Age of Empires 3...being zoomed in too where I can see their feet and not zoom out is not cool.
