California-based Eye-Fi Inc today unveiled the Eye-Fi Card - the world's first wireless SD memory card for digital cameras. The Eye-Fi Card not only stores digital photos or videos, but it also uses home Wi-Fi networks to transfer its content to PCs, Macs and online photo and social networking sites. On the subject though, wow that's impressive. I want one. I wonder what the range on it is like.
On one hand, a lot of cameras today come with built-in wifi, making this sort of thing kinda superfluous.
On the... well, on the same hand, I guess -- I don't know if 5 times the regular price of a 2GB card justifies this feature.
christ sooner or later some smart ass will create something which eats, chews & digests our food for us before we can even start to think of what it looked like before it left the frying pan.
some people just dont know when to take time off or start drinking decaff
