New PlayStation 3 Bundle for UK

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced a new PlayStation 3 bundle for UK consumers retailing at GBP £349.99. As well as the 40 GB console, the deal allows consumers to pick two first-party titles from a list which includes the following games: Resistance: Fall of Man, Genji: Days of the Blade, Formula One, Ridge Racer 7, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Folklore, Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction, Warhawk (including headset), SingStar (including microphones) and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. The offer begins this Friday, January 18.

Sony needs to get the price under £300 and let the customer decide if they want to buy two old games from a selection of games that Sony can't shift.

Yep i feel for yas ps3 deals are good here in oz for now. Doesnt look a great deal to me considering that would be bout 800 odd buck australian id expect more for that dosh.

ps3 games are a rip off it was £45 for unreal tournament 3 on ps3 but £15 on pc LOL

Yes because game/console bundles don't exist on the 360.

Also game prices are pretty much identical on the 360 and PS3. You would have to be mad to pay £45 for a PS3 game. I picked up uncharted for £35 and Ratchet for £28 both at sainsburys. (I got ratchet when it was 20% off on all games).

This is rubbish, a few months ago when the 40gb first came out, companies like game and play.com were doing this exact deal (40gb + 2 games) for £300, albeit with a smaller selection of games to choose from.

Those are high quality, both visually, gameplay and storyline. I dont know why you are knocking them. Heavenly Sword, Resistance and Ratchet and Clank are bad ass and fun as shit. Too bad I didnt get a game with my $600 USD Ps3.

Yea I hear ya there.
These types of bundles dont really exist in the US.
I just got lucky since I pricematched an ad error and got a free game and controller w/ my PS3.
