3DMark Vantage to be Released Today

3DMark Vantage will be released today. It's the new DX10 version of their FM gaming benchmark series. PCMark Vantage is the first objective hardware performance benchmark for PCs running 32 and 64 bit versions of Microsoft Windows Vista. First test seems to have rubbish graphics but it's all about the movie features, which is really noticeable in the second test looks really good.
This has proved to me that I need a new computer though... The tests desperately need AA or some form of filtering. Like looking at a million serrated knives!
I'm not sure I'd pay for it just yet though....

EDIT - sorry Wiz! Lol.
Also yeah you can only run it once which is a bit of a joke...

Also why does my CPU get beaten by an E6300 at 3.15Ghz when mine is running at 3.2Ghz... Hmmm my FSB is 400 compared to 450 on my link... God I hate this CPU... Infact looking at the results my system seems to have been completely raped by a slower allround system...

This is just a major cash cow release from futuremark that smells of laziness, i mean just two GFX tests and they were an embarrassment, GFX were crap and the textures were soooo bad, screw them, ain't getting any cash out of me for this shocking release.

UNFORTUNATELY YOUR KEY IS NOT VALID

Well that was nice.. Anyone else got that? Copy pasted, wrote it in with & without dashes. Hope futuremark likes spamfilteraddresses, so I'd might get a working key this time :/

Second key worked, but I got this. Futuremark is getting hamemred as well, Nessie seems to be hugry.


edit: Worked despite that error. 2nd test was more prettier than the first and run better. 1st test best part was Jane Nash boob wiggle :D 1st was something like 4-10fps and 2nd 8-24fps. 2nd CPU test was also brutal, I could imagine my CPU screaming "you think I'm supposed to calculate that fast!" :)

I've got it, but havent ran it yet. since its a one off, i want to wait and reboot for a clean go... but i'm on TPU so i cant do that yet :P

Just tried this, got 'P5286' marks, it didnt seem that great tbh... Plus I hate the new licensing thing where you have to pay to get the basic version... wtf!

my score ===> P3367

the trial test does what it should i guess. if you watched the 'jane nash' test you can see they used a closeup of her ass. go figure.

the basic version is $6.95 which may be worth it for some people.

Anyone else here getting display corruption with 3870X2s and Cat 8.4s? My cards run everything else fine so I'm not sure where the problem lies.

ValdezNo, it doesn't support dx10.1 and 64 bit and the dx10 support isn't even complementary.
Even if it doesn't support 10.1 it will tax cards to the maximum. In the first test i got 2fps :twitch: and the cpu test crashes with me.
