OCZ Technology Group today announced Hypersonic PC is making their solution more mobile than ever. Geared toward the enthusiast who wants their go-anywhere notebook to be powerful, the Avenger AG2 Notebook series feature unparalleled performance in a sleek, colorful, and compact 12-inch size for superb mobility. The AG2 may be small, but packs in the performance and energy-efficiency of Intel Core 2 processors and an array of multimedia features at a price point attractive to a variety of users looking to enhance their mobile computing experience.

"We listen closely to our customers, and it became clear that many of our customers wanted a notebook that offers the style and performance that Hypersonic is known for but was more portable," commented Alessandro Gilligan, Systems Manager, Hypersonic PC. "The new Avenger 12 inch notebook is our smallest and lightest notebook to date, and offers a combination of Intel Core 2 performance in a surprisingly small and stylish form factor so consumers don't have to make sacrifices on when they are on the go."

You don't have to forfeit performance when you can get the best of both worlds with the ultra portable Avenger Series. Designed to Hypersonic standards, the Avenger AG2 does not hold back on performance, style, or features. For raw performance, unbelievable system responsiveness, the AG2 can be configured with next generation 45nm Intel Penryn processors, up to 4GB DDR2-667 memory, and 320GB hard drive (or Solid State Drive) for maximum storage. Even though you're computing on a 12-inch, you'll feel like it's a full-sized notebook. These compact yet robust notebooks feature high resolution LCDs and an ergonomic keyboard that doesn't sacrifice your comfort. For business or play, the AG2's smart size can go anywhere you can.

Built for an on-the-move lifestyle, the Avenger AG2 integrates all the necessary elements to keep you constantly connected. The 802.11b/g Wi-Fi Network Controller keeps your wireless transmissions private with advanced 40-bit and 128-bit WEP encryption. Another optional feature is a built-in Bluetooth wireless connectivity receiver/transmitter, allowing you to connect to hundreds of compatible Bluetooth devices such as printers, mice, keyboards, and cell phones. Chat face-to-face with friends cross-country or scheme against rivals during gameplay with the AG2's integrated webcam with its 1.3 megapixel camera and microphone. Be free from cumbersome peripherals and additional wires with the built-in 7-in-1 card reader, so you can plug in your array of media cards directly onboard.

The Avenger AG Series is available in several configurations to meet even the most stringent budget requirements:

yes i can see it now.... having this tiny thing on my lap will really feel like im looking at a 15.4-17" screen with the same size & weight ratios...

if its so full sized where the hell is the 8x00M GT's?

playing RPG's on my own lappy already sucks with the 14.1" screen with the same 1280x800 native rez. having the same res on a 12.1" would mean that u need a magnifying glass to see your desktop....

:shadedshu "The 802.11b/g Wi-Fi Network Controller keeps your wireless transmissions private with advanced 40-bit and 128-bit WEP encryption." Huh?!? Did I read that right? They're still offering WEP as an "advanced encryption"?!? That's a grossly misleading claim, as a WEP signal can easily be cracked by anyone in under a minute. Reading such garbage only deepens my suspicion about this manufacturer...I for one will NOT be buying any of their products anytime soon!

the x3100 can decode Bluray upto 1080p fine, for media that IS a workhorse.

Its just not a gaming laptop, but its got balls for everything else.

wohh...super negative I see. This was not made to game, and if you keep that in mind its not that bad of a machine. As for the WEP. Thats a standard line attached to it, just like if you buy a dell computer that has a 6150 video card it will say Nvidia graphics for superior gaming or something similar.

You would think veterans of these forums would have more to say than "Shitty video card. Fail". Thats like reviewing the iPhone vs a Blackberry for PDA use.
At any rate Mussels is right, this notebook is one of (if not the most) highest performing "mini" laptop that we've seen during these past 3-4 months of company trying to out do each other because apparently they compete over anything. (ex. Who has the highest clock on their stock video cards etc) The drivers on the G965 series has gotten much better since its initial release and makes many games playable that got >15fps before the driver update. (BF2 had most feedback, other games include Far Cry and NFS series of games) Also consider that frame rates from past examples of games running on this chipset are going to change by a noticeable amount because you can run games at a lower res' without drastically effecting image quality. (1024x768, even 800x600) Anywho, think before you come into a forum and state an opinion (false or valid) that has already been stated. In my point of view its equal to trolling because its just as useless and annoying.

Pricing, and pricing alone, will be the only determining factor as to whether or not these notebooks are fail.
