Although DDR2 memory slightly going out of fashion, in favour of DDR3, A-DATA recently said it is releasing new DDR2-1066 memory kits under the company's XPG Gaming DRAM line. New dual-channel kits comprised of two 2 GB or 1 GB DDR2-1066 MHz modules will be made available. Both memory kits will work with CL6-6-6-18 timings at 2.0±0.1 V. Like most high-performance memory products, the new XPG kits will come with a lifetime warrany.

Those timings are horrendous. How can they even call these high-performance?

wtf and its a 2gb kit too? these wouldnt even be that good in 2006 LOL they must oc to ddr2-1200.. MINIMUM. if not, then why buy them?

Actual source. I fail to see how this is newsworthy (particularly since this press release came out nearly a month ago), unless these modules are setting a new standard of sh**tiness for "performance". Hell, it's possible to find generic DDR2-800 that can clock to DDR2-1066 @ 5-5-5-15, why would I want these modules? WTF indeed.

A-DATA...:slap: I think I will stick with Patriot, G-Skill or Crucials. LMAO. 2GB @ 6/6/6/18 2.1v??? :wtf: XPG Gaming, WTF?? I would take OCZ Platinums over this crap.

My 41$ Crucial Ballistix kit does 5-5-5-15 1066 at 2.0v... This is a pretty lame kit honestly.

If this is A-DATA's idea of "high-performance", I'd hate to see the specs for their low-end crap....

My two year old A-Data extreme 800+ kit is better than this cr*p. At least it has micron D9 chips...

A little too late for this market and horrible timings make this one a must not have. Unless 2gb stick sell for $10 a pop then sure, I'll buy it for client :)
by WarEagleAU (9:56 PM) - Reply
Yeah, not loving these sticks, though if at stock voltage they hit 1300mhz with those timings, that isnt bad at all.
