Thermalright Shows off GTX 200 Supportive T-Rad² GTX

Air-cooling specialist Thermalright displayed a new version of the T-Rad² cooler, that has the required mount hole spacing for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 200 series graphics cards. Measuring 228 x 104 x 24.33 mm, and weighing 398 g, the T-Rad² GTX sports the same basic design of a dense aluminum fin array originating from the GPU contact block The array holds two 80 mm fans for active cooling. According to the company, this cooler goes into production from next month.

Is the base solid aluminum or nickel-coated copper? Either way looks like a real beast when it has a 120mm fan stuck to it.

Does it really? Original is edit:2x92mm or 1x120mm and this should be same, if just base is extended. Sure they could have extended the fan mounts too?

Accelero Xtreme GTX 280 has already answered, doubt this will be any cheaper (+fans), knowing Thermalright. Though this is cooler looking and would be great with the gold/bronze hue the pictures lie it to be.

80mm fans? the original t-rad held two 92mm fans this is great either way. planning on getting one for my 260 just as soon as i sell my original (i have it for sale in my fs thread)

Isn't it too late for such product? I mean, GTX 200 series is near the end of its life cycle.

if nvidia stays with the current mouting design of the 200 series than this will support the ladder of nvidia product

Yeah, but that thing's just gigantor. TBH, I'd like a dual slot cooler that vents out the back that isn't as loud and cooler better than the stock one so I can run dual GTXxxx's in my mATX rig with an i7 920. I'll probably never get anything, though :p So many other tech toys I want.

I would like to see these kickin ass air coolers come out for ATI cards. I always see these for Nvidia but not ATI.

It's only big news for nvidia for the gtx series because the mounting has to change.

judging by the 2 sets of mounting holes in the cooler, they are also compatible with ATI.
