The Intel Atom D2550 was a mobile processor with 2 cores, launched in November 2011. It is part of the Atom lineup, using the Cedarview architecture with BGA 437. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading the core-count is effectively doubled, to 4 threads. Atom D2550 has 512 KB of L2 cache per core and operates at 1867 MHz. Intel is making the Atom D2550 on a 32 nm production node using 176 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Atom D2550, which limits its overclocking potential.
With a TDP of 10 W, the Atom D2550 consumes very little energy. Intel's processor supports DDR3 memory. This processor features the GMA integrated graphics solution.
The SSE4 instruction set is not supported, which can cause problems with modern games, as they require that capability.
