You are onto the reason I posted this thread in the first place, but IMHO in the last few months or longer there have been many threads where users were asked many times, their thread gets closed (suprise) and now there's a sh!tstorm in the what's wrong with our forums thread because the guy's thread just above his didn't get shut down at the same time. It's things like that I want to help prevent, as only so much moderation is done in that section, imo it should be pretty minimal overall. TPU asks for a few things to allow users to sell things here, many follow the rules fine, some get excited and post without pics, some just like you said Linkin find a way to screw it up. And issues will still arise even with any of my suggestions in place, which is why I want them talked out between members and staff, see if they're really needed or not...at this point, looking at it from a moderator's point of view, on TPU mods got to tread lightly on certain topics, I see this as something to help them enforce the rules without them having to hold hands and go through each and every thread/post unless it's attention getting or reported. Not saying it's a horrible situation that will end TPU, by far it won't, but it is an annoyance and has been taken out of context many times...if we make a form and/or put up a notice that you must check, then there's no asking, you've been warned, your thread is down, start over, do it right next time or get an infraction. Nuff said, to me it's less effing around with trying to nicely get users to follow the rules, and just flat out getting through the sh!t and getting to the point. But like you say Linkin, if they dont' like it, try out Ebay for sure.
