they are planning to release such console far to early. And the only thing that has been rumored to be better then the xbox is the GPU which will possibly be a Ati R700 4870/4890, but with microsoft and sony planning to release theres in like 2013-2015 it gives them time to polish up and console far more powerful then the Wii2/HD. Also what if Nintendo messed up and lacks in the memory and hard drive area like they did with the Wii.

I would hope a console released in 2012 using a GPU from 2008 will be more powerful then a console made 6 years ago

nintendo is good at one thing, making money, nintendo knows very well how to make money, and handhelds.

in terms of this gen nintendo kicked some ass I have to admit, but only for the sake of money. Wii is similar to GC to me but they made it do something spiffy, motion control , mine has been in my attic for about a year now and got it as a gift but

You cherry picked some good paragraphs from the Wikipedia page and linked a graph that showed Sega's losses through 2004. 2004 was a long time ago. I read the financial report from March of 2010, just in case the Wikipedia page was wrong about their revenues. Wikipedia is pretty close to being right, the financial report says that Sega has $1.74 billion dollars in revenue, which is more than enough to fund the development of a console. I'm not saying they would, mind you, just saying they can afford it.

That same Wikipedia page also shows that Sega filed US patents for controller designs in 2009. So unless they are designing a peripheral to allow females to play their urinal games, I would say something could be going on. Hell that paragraph was just above one that you quoted in this thread! Read the page again.

Look, I don't want to derail your thread about a future Nintendo product anymore. I'm pretty excited to see what Nintendo has in store, since the rest of the console juggernauts are plainly chillin' doing nothing. Move and Kinect might be great products, but the systems themselves are dated. 10 years is too long of a development cycle for a console.

I have had the same impression ever since I bought it and played Zelda on it. To put it simply, it is an overclocked Gamecube with motion controls, my Wii and all the cool accessories I've bought with it is rotting away in my closet along with my nargile bong

I am excited and curious to see Zelda and Metroid using current gen graphics, lets do it Wii HD!
