So this means AMD should just give up and quit?
People also said they won't have a chance against Nehalem but I see them doing just fine.
It will be hard to compete with S2011 yes, but you are saying that like if BD will be at P4 performance levels and have no chance whatsoever. Don't forget AMD doesn't have so much cash to throw at R&D as Intel.
I don't think that is what he is saying. My take on what he is saying, and also what I believe is gonna happen is BD will be able to compete with Nehalem, and possibly SB, but Intel's Ivy Bridge CPUs, which are coming soon, are gonna be faster. I personally won't actually consider BD a fail if it can compete with Nehalem, but it'll still be a lose for AMD as Intel will continue to have the fastest chip available in Ivy Bridge. Personally, I wan't the see BD pitted against a 2600k SB chip at equal clock speeds.
Trust me, I'd love to see AMD be able to compete with Ivy Bridge, but I just don't see that happening.
